About this training course
This course is ideal for anyone working in construction, steel fabrication or in light industry.
There is an onus on both employers & employees to protect the physical, emotional, economic and social wellbeing of not just themselves but the general population around them.
01. Aims
This two hour course will teach participants the fundamental and practical principals of abrasive wheel selection, and the correct fitting / replacement of abrasive wheels. It also outlines the consequences of incorrect wheel selection, fitting and the potential harm as a result.
02. Learning Outcomes
Participants will learn about:
- How to select the correct type of abrasive wheel, and how to fit and replace abrasive wheels.
- Legislation for both employers and employees in regards to HSA legislation.
03. Who Should Attend?
Anybody who is working in construction, steel fabrication or light industry. Certification should be renewed every three years.
04. Presenter
Course is presented by a QQI qualified trainer, with over 25 years in the service industry.

This is a practical & interactive course, course is also delivered using audio visual methods.
Entry requirements
A good standard of both written and verbal English is required.
Certification
On attendance and completion each participant will receive a certificate that lasts for three years.
